Fewer than 50% of Canadian students now graduate with a Grade 12 math and science credit.

That's not a typo. According to a recent C.D. Howe Institute report covered by CTV News, Canadian students have lost the equivalent of two or more years of schooling in math proficiency. Math scores have been declining for over a decade — well before COVID — and Canadian students now perform below international benchmarks across every province.

Without that Grade 12 credit, the door closes on 65–75% of post-secondary programs, technical programs, and apprenticeships.

Seems like you've caught on too — with all the feedback we're getting to build something for school math. We're working on fixing that gap. We see school math as the foundation, and contest math as the extension that builds on top of it.
